Their expertise ensures you will have a viable ‘whole community’ comprehensive emergency management program in place, ready to be activated when needed.

Goal of Comprehensive Emergency Management

Emergencies and disasters will happen. They occur at a local government level. Mitigating, preparing, responding, and recovering from emergencies and disasters is the local community’s and its local government responsibility. Local officials have the legal mandate to ensure that their community is prepared to respond quickly and, effectively, especially in the initial phase of a disaster before the State or Federal governments provide supplemental assistance. Local government must be able to execute response and recovery plans effectively. The overall goal of the Emergency Management Agency may be stated as follows:

“To save lives and protect property by developing programs and emergency operational capabilities that mitigates, prepare for, respond to, and recover from any emergency or disaster--whether in peacetime or a situation of national security.”

Contact us today to guide you through the complexities of emergency management, ensuring your organization is always prepared for the unexpected.

A Comprehensive Emergency Management Program (CEMP) is a broad practice area that addresses all hazards and includes all phases of emergency management and homeland security (mitigation, preparedness, protection, prevention, response, and recovery). A CEMP is required for day-to-day disruptions and maintaining continuity of operations, as well as for managing response to and recovery from large-scale emergencies. A sound program is needed to enable a community or a business to deal with any emergency. ERII provides CEMP support based on a comprehensive collection of experts and services that address all program elements. Our approach to program development is based on current industry standards and best practices. Program details are recorded and framed into a jurisdiction's comprehensive emergency management plan (also CEMP).
